About:

    Janice Rinsky is a prenatal genetic counselor at the University of Utah Maternal Fetal Diagnostic Center. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh Genetic Counseling Program in 1988. During her career, she has worked in the prenatal, pediatric, and public health settings. She also helped run the Mountain States Genetics Regional Collaborative Center and had a successful private practice in Colorado for approximately ten years. Ms. Rinsky has two boys who will be in third and eighth grade. They all enjoy skiing, hiking, and the outdoor activities that life in Utah has to offer. Ms. Rinsky is also a volunteer ski ranger for the U.S. Forest service. She serves as the clinical rotation supervisor for the Maternal Fetal Diagnostic Center, and is co-course master for the Perinatal Genetics class. She has served as a committee chair, and a committee member for the past three years on a student research project. She provides clinical supervision for genetic counseling students and serves on the Clinical Supervision and Admissions Committees.
