About
Rena is the Manager of Genetic Counseling at Lineagen, Inc, where she has worked since September 2010. She is co-chair of the Admissions Committee for incoming genetic counseling students and is co-director of the HGEN 6500 (Human Genetics) course taken by first year students in the fall semester. Rena also acts as an elective rotation supervisor, research committee member, and mentor for various genetic counseling students. She is an active member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors and participates in the NSGC's Pediatric and Psychiatric Special Interest groups. Prior to working at Lineagen, Rena worked for over two years in the Pediatric and Metabolic Genetics Clinics at the University of Utah/Primary Children’s Medical Center. She earned her MS in Medical Genetics from Indiana University in 2008 and her BS in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin in 2004.
